1/16/08 -- Pension system meetings confirmed for January 22nd and January 23rd in Shirley Erwin's office to discuss the specifications for the new Pension System. -- Vicky
1/23/08 -- The first round of pension meetings are complete. A good base for the pension system has been agreed upon, and ESD will begin working on the programming. Tentative "go live" date for Apecs.net established for October 7th, 2008. -- Vicky
1/25/08 -- Per Bruce's email: "I prepared the first annuity test data extract on 1/23/08 for preliminary testing and provided to Wayne on his flash drive in 3 formats." See further details below about the data extract. -- Vicky
"The first annuity test data extract on 1/23/08 for preliminary testing was provided to Wayne on his flash drive in 3 formats, a text file, xls spreadsheet and in a compressed folder for the xls file. It is sensitive data we sent to the software provider.
...The program to run is R $(pay)ann/o/convert, file sweep down to a folder and then load into excel as a fixed delimiter file and then the separator character is a { which goes into the other field. The text qualifier is ". You must sign onto using the ... userid/password and the onto cande to run the program. The file to download is (PAY) ANNMFT012308 ON USER1. The file extension is .txt for downloading.
When ESD requests another file, the program will need to changed and recompiled to reflect the new date that the data was extracted on for data integrity purposes. I do not have a wfl for this program so the data extension need to be changed in 5 areas of the program in the source before recompiling. It is a 5 minute job, it is the downloading that takes long. The file is approximately 7mb with 3976 records that I produced the other day with all local pension status codes included ..."

06/01/08 -- Local Pension system construction complete. Final tweaking phase in progress. -- Vicky
